Per [[ https://lists.trustedfirmware.org/pipermail/tf-a/2021-February/000972.html | the original proposal on the mailing list ]], we are looking to gather buy-in from platform maintainers on our proposal to adopt the Conventional Commits specification within the TF-A project. This page is dedicated to allowing maintainers and contributors to sign off on these proposals, or otherwise voice their dissentenabling us to generate the changelog in future releases.
For more details on the investigation that led us hereAn investigation period is currently underway, ending 2021-03-31, intended to allow everybody to evaluate additional solutions. At the close of this period, see the presentation originally given internally: {F171888}we'll set up a poll here on Phabricator to allow people to vote on their preferred option.
This page will be archived in approximately two weeks from its creation (19 February 2021), at which point a decision will be made to either adopt this proposal, or if not then ideally an alternative.
