Description

This is a new request to integrate changes needed for improved portability to allow adding IAR Embedded Workbench as a supported tool chain for TF-M.

Hi Thomas, I see you mention a failure with GNUARM 7.3.1 with some build config. Can you please provide instructions on how to reproduce the build failure? As you say the failure happens with the mainline as well, that shouldn't happen and I am not seeing the failure either. Would like to try to reproduce it here if it's a genuine issue.

Regarding the change Antonio posted and for your own information I made similar changes here (https://developer.trustedfirmware.org/T274).
I have also posted a design change about implicit enumeration casting (https://review.trustedfirmware.org/c/trusted-firmware-m/+/1040) and will send patches for that soon as well :)

IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm is an integrated development work environment and the included IAR C/C++ Compiler generates the fastest performing, although there are tons of projects like CV Makers which are based on IAR.
